Bye-Bye Tula...
Meet Tula. She's a needle felted fairy that I've made to give to our local Hospice charity fund raiser and art auction. I was so embarrassingly thrilled to be asked to participate as an artist. Who, me? I can only assume they were desperate. An unfinished furniture store donated some dining room chairs as a child's rocker, and...(drum roll please)...a small foot stool. We (us artists) were supposed to use them as canvases.
So this was my interpretation of a foot stool! The only problem is I have become so attached! I really hate to let her go, even for such a good cause...sigh. I've never made something that I've hated to part with so much! Oh well, I hope who ever gets her really likes her. I almost want to attend the auction to meet who will take her home. Not that I could afford the ticket price in the first place, but actually I would find watching the bidding horribly frightening. What if she went for a really low price, or even worse...eek...no one bid at all!!!! Nope definitely cannot watch. So she's off ...bye-bye Tula...
